W E E K 18.
‘F R e E’ is F r E e.
Blaschka’s title is taken from the creators of these beautiful glass objects.
Egyptian faience is a sintered-quartz ceramic displaying surface vitrification which creates a bright lustre of various colours, with blue-green being the most common.
Also – the 16th electro-acoustic release by Paaliaq this year.
‘Safe Now’ is week 15, Track 15.
I love contrast, and after writing a lot of tunes and beats and loudness, not to mention all the general world craziness, I felt like this was needed. I think it could equally have been called Breathe Easy.. It’s a beautiful sunny day in London right now, and I hope this brings you some of that calm.
Week 14 brings this – ‘Nix Naught Nothing’ – Named after a fairy tale.
Loud (like cinematic choral grunge, or something..)
Enjoy the track, and the video below.
Jostoria is this week’s new release. A very light, simple, chiming piece. It’s called Jostoria because I was inventing new names for undiscovered colours (as you do) and this was one that I liked. A delicate shade of Jostoria.
This is Stolen Light. I love it very much, as I especially love writing for piano and voice. And this has a few clicky drum things going on too, which is always good.
‘Handheld (A 1000 Stars)’ is this week’s new release.
There be guitars. There be drums. There be piano. There be strings. There be a strange, staggering, clattering, wandering tune in amongst all that, somewhere.
Keep wandering, staggering, clattering, looking at the stars, and being strange too.
Hello, hey, Hi
I Thought I Saw Gene Hackman…
It’s true, I thought I did, and I said it to a friend, and then thought ‘well there’s my title.’
(and he didn’t look like Gene Hackman now, but more like young Hackman in the French Connection. Hmmm)
So there you go. Enjoy the track. I really like the vibe of it.. And the other 9, so far.
All purchases are very much appreciated. Thank you.
Week 9 is a song of dawn. Appropriate I guess, as we approach Spring..
Dormiveglia means ‘a state of being half-asleep or half-awake’ and I think it suits that well.
For a short track it took a lot of gentle adjusting to let it flow. I hope it brings suitable calm.
Next week might be slightly louder.
